Need a break from winter?

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

If you are anything like me, by now you are dealing with a serious case of the winter blues. The only real solutions are to tough it out, or go on vacation to some place warm. I am thinking about a trip to Disneyland. I have always wanted to go, but the Disneyland hotels, are either always booked or whats left is out of my budget, now that I’ve found these great deals online though I am really thinking about going.  Would be nice to take the little man on a trip just he and I. I would love to see the look on his face when he saw all of the characters from his favorite movies too.

Bad Temper

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Theres this guy I know with a horrible temper. Every little thing just sets him off. Once he is angry he will rant and rave for hours about whats bugging him. The thing is though, when hes mad.. hes really funny so everyone does whatever they can to set him off. I feel pretty bad for the guy, but at the same time it’s just so funny I can’t help but laugh too.

Moving

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

Are you planning an international move? There are a lot of regulations regarding what you can bring and what needs to be shipped. Somethings you can just take with you, via plane or however you are traveling, but bigger things need to be shipped. If you are interested in international shipping you should check out international movers. They are the best in the business. Who better to trust your precious belongings to than the people who have been doing this for years? Moving is nerve racking and stressful, let someone else take care of that for you so you can relax and enjoy your new home.

To Many Hens

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

I wonder where these sayings come from, you know like “too many chiefs not enough Indians” or “too many hens in the pot”. I wish there was a way to catalogue what people were thinking when they said these things that have become such a common saying.  Maybe there is one, and I am missing it, but I would really love to know where these things come from!

Working from home

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

I work from home. I am fortunate enough to work for a company that offers a work from home position. I wish though that I could find a way to manage my own business from home as well. I have put a lot of thought into it I just can’t figure out which business is the right one for me. I was thinking maybe I would sign up with this phone card company. They give you a site, and the products and all you do is sell. It seems like a pretty decent profit, and the work load doesn’t seem like it is too heavy.

Dinner

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

I need to get on the ball with this cooking thing again. Since I started this crazy new work schedule we eat whatever the special is at the little mom and pop diner down the road. It is mostly healthy stuff, well balanced but still it is really so much cheaper to cook at home. I am just so tired all the time lately that I don’t have the energy to do anything.

Juno

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

I’m watching Juno and it’s bringing back a lot of memories. I remember when I found out I was pregnant, how terrified I was. I was with someone I didn’t want a future with and we were careful but I guess nothing is 100%, but any way I was just as terrified as this kid is. I couldn’t imagine adoption, or abortion. Although I can totally sympathize with people who have decided that that is their path.

Nip Tuck

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

The last episode of nip tuck was really good.  It was about a girl who was the victim of a suicide bomber. She was sitting so close to him when he blew himself up that parts of him entered the wounds in her body. As part of the emotional healing process she had the pieces removed. It was really touching.
