grandfather clock
My great grandpa had this giant grandfather clock. At least when compared to me it was giant. I used to hide in it when I was small. I was afraid of the nurses that tended to him while he was sick, and when they would come into his house I would in the clock and watch them work. He actually had several grandfather clocks, but the biggest one was my favorite. When he died, he left a clock to each one of his children. The big one though, that one is in a museum now.Now a days It’s rare to see them. People aren’t as in to antiques as they used to be. I hope to own my own Grandfather clock in time, maybe one of these nice Howard Miller ones. They are some of the nicest clocks I have ever seen. There is even a great blog on the site. With such great prices, and information I think it wont be too too much longer before my own little one is standing mesmerized in front of the giant clock just like I used to when I was a wee one. These clocks are truly built to last, who knows maybe I’ll have a grand daughter some day who will use it as a hiding place, just like I used to.
